GKS Tychy has confirmed the allocation of 300 away tickets to Wisła Kraków supporters for the highly anticipated third-round Betclic I Liga fixture scheduled for Monday, August 4, 2025. The match, to be played at the Tychy Municipal Stadium, is set to be one of the most critical early-season showdowns, with both teams vying for the top spot in the league.
The decision follows a week of uncertainty after GKS Tychy initially cited technical limitations related to the guest entrance system as a reason to exclude visiting fans from the stadium. The announcement drew criticism from Wisła Kraków supporters and prompted swift intervention from Wisła President Jarosław Królewski, who offered the club’s technical assistance to help resolve the issue.
After reviewing the matter, the Polish Football Association (PZPN) ruled that the identified issues were not significant enough to justify barring away fans. Subsequently, GKS Tychy reversed its position and made the 300-ticket allotment official.
“We’re pleased to announce that GKS Tychy has agreed to welcome our fans to the upcoming match,” Wisła Kraków said in a club statement. “We thank all parties who helped ensure this outcome, especially President Królewski for his proactive approach.”
This match also carries symbolic weight for Wisła fans, many of whom have been boycotting away games since a tragic incident in 2023. Their return to an away fixture marks a turning point in supporter engagement this season.
