Wisła Kraków Announces New Technical Sponsor: Kappa Replaces Macron
After five years, Wisła Kraków has ended its partnership with Macron. On June 30, the club officially announced the conclusion of this collaboration, and the very next day, July 1, confirmed Kappa as its new technical sponsor. The Italian sportswear brand will now provide kits and other apparel for the club.
This change comes as no surprise, as Kappa had already been mentioned in media speculation. Now it’s official, with Wisła confirming the reports and sharing key details. The agreement is set to last for the next three years. According to the club’s statement, the partnership will include not only match kits but also specially designed clothing for unique events and occasions related to Wisła Kraków.
The rollout of the new kits will happen in stages. The red home kit will be unveiled first, followed by a white kit, and finally a third kit described as a “surprise.” The surprise kit is said to be tailored especially for the fans, featuring distinctive color choices and subtle design details.
Sales of the Kappa collection will begin in mid-July, starting with the first team’s off-field apparel. Importantly, Kappa will not only outfit the main team but also other branches including Wisła Women, the club’s Amputee and Blind Football teams, the Oldboys squad, and youth teams in Wisła Kraków’s Football Academy.
As for the new match kits, fans will need to be patient. In upcoming friendlies against Slovan Bratislava and Ruch Chorzów, the players will wear temporary white kits—not the ones intended for the league season. Special kits have been prepared just for these matches.
