AC/DC Reclaims Billboard Success With Classic Hits
Throughout their storied career, AC/DC has produced numerous popular tracks, but two have remained particularly prominent in the U.S. — “Thunderstruck” and “Back in Black.” These songs frequently resurface on various Billboard charts, with “Thunderstruck” often appearing on multiple rankings and “Back in Black” making occasional returns during peak moments.
Currently, both songs are once again charting across several Billboard lists. Each track has re-entered one chart while maintaining a presence on another.
“Back in Black” Reaches the Top 10 Once More
Among the two, “Back in Black” enjoys the stronger resurgence. The song has re-entered the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart at No. 10 — the final spot on that list. As one of AC/DC’s highest-selling hard rock songs, it has already spent over ten years on the chart.
In addition to its comeback on the sales chart, “Back in Black” also holds a spot on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, where it currently ranks at No. 24, slipping slightly from previous weeks.
“Thunderstruck” Returns to Global Rankings
Meanwhile, “Thunderstruck” has reappeared on one Billboard chart and continues to thrive on another, though with slightly lower positions compared to “Back in Black.”
It re-enters the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 199 — second to last — and also climbs 10 spots on the Billboard Global 200, landing at No. 158. This increase highlights the impact of U.S. streaming and sales on its global performance.
“Thunderstruck” Hits No. 1 in the U.S. Again
On domestic charts, “Thunderstruck” is seeing even greater success. It rises from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, marking its 61st time at the top. Additionally, it holds strong on other rock-specific charts, jumping to No. 4 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list, securing another top-five placement.
