Aston Villa Announce Two Additional Pre-Season Friendlies as Europa League Preparation Takes Shape
Aston Villa have expanded their pre-season line-up with two more matches against European opponents.
The club has confirmed that Unai Emery’s squad will play friendlies against Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Roma during their summer preparations for the upcoming season.
Villa will begin their U.S. tour with a fixture against Frankfurt on Saturday, July 26 at 7:00pm local time. They will then face MLS teams St. Louis City and Nashville SC on Wednesday, July 30, and Saturday, August 2, respectively.
Upon returning to the UK, Villa are set to face Italian side AS Roma at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium on Wednesday, August 6, with a 7:30pm kick-off. Both clubs are seen as strong contenders for next season’s Europa League.
Before heading to the United States, Villa will play a warm-up match in Germany against Hansa Rostock on Saturday, July 19 at the Ostseestadion, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00pm local time.
As per tradition, their pre-season begins with a fixture at Walsall on Wednesday, July 16, kicking off at 7:30pm.

Villa have also unveiled their latest fashion collection in partnership with adidas, which includes limited edition items that are likely to be in high demand ahead of the new season.
Fans can now purchase special edition adidas Samba trainers featuring Aston Villa’s colors and badge. Additionally, an adidas DNA hoody in the club’s traditional colors and minimalist style is available.
The same stylish design is featured on the classic adidas track top, a fan favorite, as well as on a claret and blue t-shirt. Matching training pants are also available, complementing the rest of the range.
