Felix Agu Hits Career-High Market Value of ₦14.3 Billion Following Super Eagles Debut…
Werder Bremen defender Felix Agu has attained his highest career market value yet, following his debut appearance for the Nigerian national team during the 2025 Unity Cup.
As transfer activity intensifies this summer, Transfermarkt—an authority on football statistics and player valuations—has released updated player values for those in the Bundesliga. Among the notable changes, Agu’s market value has risen to €8 million, equivalent to approximately ₦14.3 billion.
This reflects a €2 million surge from his previous value of €6 million. The boost is attributed to his strong club season and his impressive showing for Nigeria in the Unity Cup, which marked his debut for the Super Eagles.
Previously capped at the U21 level for Germany, Agu chose to represent Nigeria at the senior level. His decision coincided with a standout season at Werder Bremen, where he displayed consistent form both defensively and offensively, making a significant impact on the team’s balance and performance.
During the season, the 25-year-old fullback featured in 22 Bundesliga matches, scoring three goals. His contributions helped Werder Bremen finish just shy of European qualification, ending the season in eighth place—one point behind Mainz, who secured the final European competition berth.
Born in Germany, Agu made his Super Eagles debut in the Unity Cup final against Jamaica. His performance caught the attention of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, and he was considered for the squad set to play a friendly against Russia in Moscow. However, visa issues prevented him from being included in the traveling team.
