Isaiah Evans Opts Out of NBA Draft, Stays with Duke
In a major boost for Duke Basketball, Isaiah Evans has decided to withdraw from the NBA Draft — a move that looks wise for both his development and the team’s future.
While Evans has tremendous upside, he still lacks the physical strength needed to handle the demands of the NBA consistently. Spending another year in college, focused on training and building his body, should pay big dividends.
Evans has shown he’s not afraid to put in the work, and both he and Duke stand to gain a lot from his return. As a freshman, he only began to tap into his vast potential. With his elite scoring ability and continued growth, Evans could cement himself as a future first-round — and possibly lottery — pick.
It’s a win-win situation all around.
